Goal:
Familiarizing with the essential tools and principles exploited in high-frequency design. Introduction to circuit simulation.
Contents:
- Introduction to wireless and radio spectrum, together with Electromagnetic fields and waves.
- Introduction to AC circuit analysis.
- Introduction to Transmission lines and transmission line equations, Reflection coefficients and Scattering parameters.
- Application of the Smith Chart and its software
- Design of Matching networks and introduction to Distributed circuit design.
- Study of the concepts of Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) and Skin Effect.
- Application of Matrix Analysis.
- Introduction to Antenna Basics.
